It all started with one pixelated paperclip. Each round, people bid to take whatever the vault is holding, till a real CryptoPunk arrives.
In 2021 PaperclipDAO ran it on-chain too and actually landed CryptoPunk #3744, but then for some reason traded it away. This is different. We are here for the Punk and the Punk only.

What is all this about?
It all starts with one on-chain paperclip in a vault. Each round, people bid to take whatever the vault is holding, and the vault walks that pile toward a real CryptoPunk. If your bid is accepted, you get not only the full vault inventory, but also a Paperclip receipt, which is a collectible on its own.
What do I get?
The full vault inventory. Just a paperclip now, but that will change in the next round.
Will my offered assets be locked?
No. Your NFTs and ERC-20s stay in your wallet until the offer is accepted. You can list the same NFTs anywhere else, or even move them. If the offer is accepted after the assets moved, it will simply revert.
How secure is it?
Seaport protocol is used for order settlement. Audited, immutable and battle tested by OpenSea. Our parts never touch asset flow, and Seaport never holds your NFTs either. BAYC Grails OTC uses the same family of settlement.
Can I cancel my offer?
Of course, any time before it is accepted. Offers also expire by themselves — you set the period upon creation.
What can I give?
NFTs you hold, and/or whitelisted ERC-20s like WETH. Wrapped Punks only at this stage (but we can add support for the native ones if you need it).
Can I just send something to the vault?
You can, but it counts as a gift. Assets transferred straight to the vault do not join the inventory and never appear on the board, so nobody can bid on them — only what the vault wins in a round becomes inventory. If you want in, make an offer instead.
Who accepts my offer and based on what?
The vault owner decides, based on math and gut. For the offer to make sense, it should somehow be better than the vault inventory, so we can progress towards the Punk.
What chain is this on?
Everything happens on Ethereum Mainnet, where CryptoPunks live.
What is Genesis?
Pre-minting the Punk Paperclip #0, the one everything starts from. It is the starting inventory for round 1.
